Amel association has conducted a new project entitled “Pilot initiatives for improving Vocational and Educational Training Services in Lebanon” funded by ANERA.

 This current project mainly aims to strengthen and develop Amel’s Vocational and educational training program on 3 different levels: Internal level, trainings level and national level.
On the internal level, the project seeks to reinforce the association’s way of management through providing it with innovative tools to evaluate and monitor its own VET program development. While, On the trainings’ level, the quality of the trainings provided will be enhanced, and the skills of both the trainers and trainees among Amel staff will be ameliorated through Non-Formal education methodologies and “on the job training” activity; on the job training experience is the best way for the trainees to gain an experience that facilitates and increases their future chances of getting a job. Finally, and on the national level, Amel will to coordinate with different stakeholders and national authorities to participate in developing a national framework of such a project.

The project activities will be implemented mainly in Beirut suburbs and in the South of Lebanon, while the benefits will be spread to farthest areas via the trained trainers at Amel centers that are situated all around Lebanon.
